¡Viva la Frida! is a storytelling trio of charms celebrating the death anniversary of renowned artist Frida Kahlo, who passed away 70 years ago.
Inspired by Frida last painting ‘Viva la Vida’ Jessica has chosen to represent her story through a hand-engraved wax seal with the word ¡VIVA! in Spanish exclamations. This very special charm marks her death and losses with an exclamation of life. It is also a nod to Jessica’s popular ‘Letters of Note’ charms.
This is a Limited Edition piece of 70 and each is numbered with a stamp.
In homage to Mexico, Jessica has designed this Limited Edition charm set with symbolic stones to commemorate Frida’s life and her losses. This 9ct seal has been adorned by a trio of faceted stones around the seal - Garnets, Diamonds and Emeralds, which is a direct reference to the Mexican flag.
The three stones also represent Frida, the love of her life Diego and the unborn child she never had.
As Frida was left handed, we have used a left hand to hold onto the seal and we have added a Mexican lace inspired embellishment.
Jessica has loved the romance behind Frida's letters that she wrote to Diego Rivera, her lover (and later husband) so the 'la Frida' engraving at the reverse of the charm has been inspired by her hand-writing within these love letters.
Show your love for Frida, for freedom and for living life!
